ASICS GT-2000 15 Review: Features, Specs and Verdict
The ASICS GT-2000 15 is ASICS’s gentle stability shoe for daily training, one step below the Gel-Kayano in support. This version brings a softer formula of FF Blast Max foam, keeps the 3D Guidance System and drops to 252 grams. BIKILA sells it for €149.95.
This review brings together the official description published by BIKILA and the lab measurements from RunRepeat, where it scored 91 out of 100, the highest of the five shoes in our overpronation guide. We have not tested it. The score on this page, 9.1 out of 10, is RunRepeat’s.
What is new in the ASICS GT-2000 15
RunRepeat compares the 15 with the GT-2000 14 and finds improvements in durability, energy return, weight, flexibility and traction. FF Blast Max was already in the 14, but the new formula returns noticeably more energy. It is also the most cushioned GT-2000 so far.

Midsole and ride
At 143 in the heel, shock absorption is well above the RunRepeat average of 131. The foam is softer than in the previous version (30.6 on its scale, against an average of 35.4) and barely changes in the cold: it got 13% firmer after 20 minutes in the freezer. The lab notes that it handles pace changes well and is ready for long runs.
Support is gentle. RunRepeat warns that runners who need more than a slight boost of stability may find it falls short, partly because of the softer foam, and points to the Gel-Kayano 33 as the next step.

ASICS GT-2000 15 upper and fit
It fits true to size according to RunRepeat. The engineered mesh upper felt comfortable for all day wear, but the toe box tapers and can feel snug on wide feet. RunRepeat says it comes in three widths (normal, 2E and 4E); at BIKILA it is in the standard fit. The heel counter is stiff.
Outsole and durability
This is where it stands out most. RunRepeat gave it 4 out of 5 for toe box wear and 5 out of 5 for heel padding, and calls its durability outstanding. Traction was good on both dry and wet roads.

Who is the ASICS GT-2000 15 for?
Runners with mild pronation who want a stable, durable daily trainer with more bounce than the GT-2000 14. It also suits Novablast fans who want something similar with a little more support, and heel strikers. It is not the best choice if you have wide feet or need a lot of support.
Pros and cons
Pros: RunRepeat’s top score among the KnowPace stability reviews, 252 grams, very high durability, good wet traction and more bounce than the GT-2000 14.
Cons: a small price increase, a narrow toe box and support that falls short for strong overpronation.

ASICS GT-2000 15 alternatives
If you need more support, the ASICS Gel-Kayano 33. If you prefer a higher drop, the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 25. The GT-2000 14 is still on sale at a discount while sizes last. All five are compared in our guide to running shoes for overpronation.
